Terri has been employed at Airshed since March 2012, after completing an earth systems science PhD from the University of the Witwatersrand. Since joining the team, she has been involved in air quality impact assessments for various mining operations (including coal, mineral sand, diamond and platinum mines); coal-fired power station and associated ash disposal facilities; gas-to-power facilities; landfills; refineries; and various other industrial processes. She has also been part of Air Quality Management Plan development teams for: air quality priority areas, provinces, metropolitan areas, as well as for specific mines and industries. Terri fills her spare time with more hobbies than she has space to store the gear, including baking; bonsai of indigenous trees; photography; patchwork and quilting; birdwatching; and, as many trips to Kruger as her vacation days allow.
